Here are some examples of some recent Visual FoxPro projects:

• Conversion from earlier versions of FoxPro. We have assisted several clients in the successful migration of their applications from FoxPro 2.x (DOS and Windows) to Visual FoxPro. Some of these were mechanical conversions; others involved an element of re-design and re-coding. All were completed to the clients' complete satisfaction, and all are now in current day-to-day use.
• Migration to SQL Server. We have recently undertaken four separate projects that involved converting VFP applications to work with a SQL Server back end. In each case, we helped the client plan a strategy for the migration, adapted the existing code to work with SQL Server, and assisted with the actual upsizing. All four projects were completed on time and to budget.
• Building framework classes. A client asked us to design and build a comprehensive framework of Visual FoxPro classes for long-term use by the client's own programming team. This proved to be a very worthwhile investment for the client, leading to substantial savings of time and money in the team's day-to-day development work.
• Code reviews. We are often asked to help programmers solve particularly difficult technical problems or debug unusually troublesome code. In one recent case, we conducted an intensive three-day code review, working alongside client staff, in which we found and eliminated over 50 serious bugs in a critical Visual FoxPro application. We also identified several other potential weaknesses in the code, and made many suggestions for improving the user interface. As a direct result of this effort, the client was able to reverse a six-week delay in the application's live-date.

An international service

We are based in the UK (Edinburgh, Scotland), but we serve clients throughout Europe, North America and beyond. We are happy to visit clients' premises where necessary, but generally aim to work at our own offices, with the finished product being delivered by email or via remote control software. We have found this to be a very economical arrangement, and one that works to the client's complete satisfaction.
